This weekend we had a visit from our friend Aime from Gitesi Coffee in Rwanda 🇷🇼
Aime and his father run their family farm and washing station that we have been buying from since 2021.
Aime was here to give a presentation at the Fall Nordic Approach cupping which was fantastic! He shared about their work educating smallholder farmers on best practices, tasting coffee, and building trust in the community as well as some challenges of coffee production in Rwanda.
Aime and Joanne from Tropiq stopped by the roastery on Saturday to catch up with us. We had a great chat about the importance of working together and understanding each others roles in the coffee supply chain, from growing and processing to roasting and selling/ serving the final product.
We can’t wait to catch up with Aime again when we receive the new lots from Gitesi and hear more about their fantastic work!
